On Thursday, 26th December 2024, we at the Welfare Society Watford (WSW) proudly organized the Pitha Festival, celebrating the vibrant cultural heritage of Bangladesh. This heartwarming event brought our community together to enjoy traditional delicacies and a lively cultural program.

Traditional Pitha Showcase
Our members shared a delightful variety of traditional Bangladeshi pithas (sweet and savory treats), creating a nostalgic and festive atmosphere for all attendees.
Cultural Extravaganza
The festival featured an array of performances and activities that captivated the audience:
- Bengali Poetry Recitation: Esteemed poet Faizul Islam recited heartfelt Bengali poetry.
- Children’s Performances: Young talents showcased their skills with mesmerizing Bengali songs and traditional dances.
- Folk Music: The evening concluded with soulful Bangladeshi folk songs performed by the renowned singer Nesmina Parveen.
Interactive Games
Engaging games were organized for:

These fun-filled activities ensured smiles and laughter throughout the event.
Children’s Art Exhibition
To encourage creativity, we organized an art exhibition where children displayed their artistic talents.
